Species: Human (Elicoorian)
Sexuality: Bisexual
Marked?: No. [note: he was marked first time in Template but it seems to have disappeared]
Living: Doctor Street, Couronne Royale House, Lower Cove
Link to picture/PB of character: http://i36.tinypic.com/34o1t9x.jpg
Appearance:
Albel dresses....uniquely, shall we say?
He wears a belly top, side-split skirt and stockings; all in purple as
well as a large clawed gauntlet on his left arm to cover the scarred
remains of his human arm. He also always has a katana at his side and
his long hair is brown on top, but has long blond ends to it. He also
has two long, bound tails at the back of his hair, bund with white
bandages, the ends poking out as light blond even though the hair
going in is brown. He also wears a large metal collar with a chain
decoration on the front and has dark red eyes. He also seems to
neglect underwear like most of the inhabitants of Elicoor II.
Personality:
Albel is called "The Wicked" for a reason. He is very easy to offend and actually looks for reasons, however slight, to threaten people with dismemberment and death.
He hides his self-loathing beneath his vicious exterior and only shows to the world his anger and hatred. In actuality, as a child he was a very sweet and happy boy and this changed almost instantly after his father's early death. When faced with the Crimson Scourge, the most powerful weapon of his country (a sentient weapon) it draws all his self-loathing and fear to the surface so you really get to see what is essentially a scared little boy underneath all his bravado who believes he should have died when he was 15 instead of his father.
He keeps people at arms length by referring to them as 'scum', 'maggot' and 'worm' more often than not and seems to take a perverse pleasure in irritating his fellows.
However, very occasionally, someone will pierce through his shell and get to know the person inside. Even towards those people, he will be brusque, rude and violent. They will see glimpses of the boy he used to be, but they will never revert him back to the way he was before his father died, it scarred him too deeply. He also knows that he failed because he had a high level of hubris. He believed that as the son of such a man; he ought to have no trouble and felt himself better than the dragon. This is the root of his obsession to be the best and beat everyone around him.
Abilities/Strengths:
Albel is possessed of a quick mind and he uses it
to best advantage when devising some evil plan. He is also very
skilled with a katana and widely acknowledged as the best in his home
country with such a weapon.
He is also skilled with his gauntlet in combat and has it fitted with
claws instead of fingers for this purpose.
Lastly, he can channel energy through his gauntlet; so if he needs to
cast some spells (like healing or 'earth glaive') - he is able to as
well as summoning 'attacks' like "vampire flash" which sucks life from
his foe.
I made a list of his attacks:
Shadow Dash: Albel dashes at a such a speed that he leaves a shadow
image of himself.
Air Slash: Albel unleashes a vertical wave of energy towards the enemy.
Shockwave Swirl: Albel unleashes a horizontal wave of energy at the enemy.
Palm of Destruction: With his gauntlet-clad arm, he charges up a ball,
black in color, and unleashes it on the enemy.
Double Slash: Albel unleashes an upward vertical slash, followed by a
downward vertical slash.
Vampire Flash: Albel unleashes a red blast from his left arm, into the
enemy, it sucks the life force out of them and it can be distributed
to nearby allies as well.
Air Slash of Fury: A More powerful version of Air Slash.
Double Slash of Fury: A more powerful version of Double Slash.
He can use all of these; but it causes him to be affected negatively
when he does. He feels a lot weaker in spirit and in muscle as using
an attack form like this drains him.
Weaknesses:
Albel is filled with a deep self-loathing and he feels he
is weak and worthless. He covers this up by declaring everyone around
him a mere 'worm' or 'maggot' and holds people at arm's length. He'd
rather cut someone down than make friends on the surface but he really
wants to feel like he was worth saving and that it was a good thing he
was. He also has a very strong sense of regret and carries the past
around with him when he needs to learn to let go. He is vicious and
cruel and makes no apologies for it.
History:
Albel "The Wicked" Nox was born to a man named Glou Nox and raised as
the son of the Leader of the Dragon Brigade. A lot was expected of
Albel, but he was a happy child and loved his father very much.
However, during Albel's Ascension of the Flame ceremony, which
occurred when he was fifteen years old, he failed to become of one his
father's men in the Dragon Brigade as he could not release his own
individual feelings and awareness to commune with the spirit of the
air dragon. Offended by his hubris; the dragon unleashed his fire upon
the boy and burned his arm off to a stub.
During this attack; Albel only survived, maimed though he now was by
Glou jumping in front of him and shielding Albel from death - dying in
his place. Albel never forgave himself and after this he changed into
the spiteful and hateful person he is now. He disappeared after his
father's memorial into the wilds and trained himself hard, telling
himself only the strong were alowed to live; only the strong were
worthy and by the time he resurfaced in Airyglyph, his reputation as
"The Wicked" already had preceded him and he took control of the Black
Brigade - one of his nation's other military units. (Dragon Brigade,
Storm Brigade and Black Brigade).
He then proceeded to carve his reputation across Elicoor in the war
between Airyglyph and Aquaria, its neighbouring country. He was feared
as a merciless leader who would simply mow down the Aquarians in
battle without blinking.
During this time; a strange metal vehicle dropped onto the capital and
he was summoned to an audience with the King and the other Brigade
leaders from Kirlsa, his training grounds. The two known passengers (a
third stayed hidden and escaped under cover of darkness) were captured
and interrogated by the Inquisitor - something Albel thought
pointless, if they were enemies; they ought to just dispose of them.
The prisoners were busted out of Glyphian prison by Nel Zelpher - a
Crimson Blade - making her a special agent of Aquaria. Albel ddn't
care whatsoever and had already gone back to Kirlsa for more training
amongst the bones of the Aquarians who had been captured and slain.
When the prisoners and Nel went into his training facility to rescue
two comrades his subordinate had taken hostage; he caught up to them
and instead of trouncing the weakened and terrified party - he merely
mocked them and said that he did not like easy kills before
disappearing again.
His rival (Vox of the Dragon Brigade) started to plot against him and
had the King send Albel to recapture the party when they entered
Glyphian territory for ore from their mines to create a weapon against
Airyglyph. Albel failed to beat them, having useless subordinates and
succumbing to the superior numbers of Aquarians. After this; Vox
declared him a traitor and had him thrown in the Royal Dungeons to
rot.
After Aquaria and Airyglyph were attacked by the Vendeeni, an outside
and very powerful force, they banded together and set aside their war
and the King who was still fond of Albel set him free. Albel scoffed
at this, refusing to work with 'Aquarian scum' until he was told it'd
win him full pardon and freedom and that these particular troops had
killed Vox.
So, he set off with the team, working for them hard but constantly
belittling them or merely going out of his way to irritate Cliff and
Nel as their furious reactions amused him. To his chagrin, he found
Fayt's presence soothing and he largely ignored Adray and Roger
anyway.
During this time; they stayed at an inn in Peterney and Albel decided
to stab Fayt's pillow with his katana.Fayt woke and Albel took the boy
outside asking why the boy was such a trusting fool and telling him he
could kill him easily. Fayt didn't care and the boy touched Albel as
the first person to reach out to him ever since his father had
sacrificed himself. Albel then decided to help Fayt even if he didn't
show it much.
After the misson to subdue the largest of all air dragons, The
Marquis, was complete; Albel helped the counterattack on the Vendeeni
but then he disappeared on them all again without saying goodbye.
Albel retreated to the Kirlsa Faility again as he wanted to forget
about Fayt and the fact he was not truly evil. During his prowling, he
saw Fayt and the others beam in. Interested as he'd never seen space
travel before, he watched as the Vendeeni forces sent down a squad and
gave chase. Albel then jumped from the walls and trashed the transport
jammer; freeing Fayt and the others. Biwig, the leader of this Vendeen
battleship then shot Albel with a disruptor rifle. Luckily; he only
got clipped in the side as a direct hit would have outright killed him
and he passed out in Cliff's arms saying he'd never let anyone else
kill them. They were his prey.
They took him to the Diplo - their space ship - and the advanced
technologies there healed him and he decided to travel with them, even
if it meant forsaking his own world. There - he learned about space
travel, other worlds and advanced technologies and he drank it all in,
interested in this stuff as it was all so new to him; coming from a
17th century-level world.
Time went on and Albel ventured into 4-D space with a new addition of
a 14 year old girl to the party - Peppita Rossetti. There they
discovered the truth behind the attacks on the planets and the Vendeen
invasion and Albel decided to risk his life to defeat Luther - the guy
behind it all.
They set off and ascended Luther's tower and fought him. As Luther was
vanquished; a bolt of light shot out towards the small girl Albel took it in the chest to shield her - killing him and he awoke in Template.
While in Template previously, Albel opened himself up to two people but when the city caused them to disappear, he retreated back into his shell and became more obsessed with being the strongest.

It seems this world is more like Fayt and Sophia's Earth than my
Elicoor II. Where am I, maggots?
I need to find the others so I can get back to Elicoor and my country
of Airyglyph. Do not waste my time, fools. I am still not fond of all
this technology, reeks of Aquarian filth to me. Relying on machinery
and mystical energies to fight when all you need is a sword and
strength. It's not the great who are strong. It's the strong who are
great, after all.
Once I have found some food I need directions to the Diplo.
Sample Roleplay:
Albel awoke with a dull pain in his head and he blinked his eyes open.
What was going o- oh yes. Luther.
They'd been fighting Luther for the sake of their very universe and
the idea made Albel almost scoff aloud, someone as selfish as he
fighting to save the universe in which they existed. Was he able to
call it living? Not necessarily at first perhaps; but they'd fought
for the ideal. He'd fought secretly for the reason of not wanting his
father's life and untimely death to have just been data; to have been
for naught. Glou Nox deserved honour and Albel was determined to earn
it for him even as his failures had cost it in the past.
He flexed his claw and the feeling all started to flow through his
body. He was still strong - what had Luther done to him? There had
been that bright light after they'd defeated him, "The Maker" and he'd
...he'd jumped in front of that girl.
Albel scowled. He'd actually jumped in front of that little annoying
brat the same way he had jumped in at the Kirlsa Training Facility to
protect Fayt, Cliff, Sophia, Maria and Fayt's father and been shot
with a disrupter rifle. She'd better appreciate it, the irritating
little circus freak.
Albel refused to admit, even to himself, he found her spunkiness,
willing to fight and cheerful demeanour refreshing. Especially to
someone like him known as "The Wicked" for his evil deeds and lack of
compassion. Reminded him of when he was a child and people weren't
terrified of him.
He remembered the child was all but an orphan, like himself and that
Glou had jumped in front of the dragon to save his life - had
he reacted instinctively to save hers? To die like his father had;
protecting the innocent?
Whatever, he needed to find out where he was and what kind of place
Luther had zapped him to in his death throes. Then he could go back
and claim his birth right. He was the wielder of the Crimson Scourge.
No one on all of Elicoor II could stop him now.
